Modest Fashion & Womenpreneur Summit 2024 to be Held in Malaysia

WITH participation from at least 62 countries, the Modest Fashion & Womenpreneur Summit 2024 (MFWS 2024) is ready to be held from Feb 8 to 10 next year at Intercontinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

With the theme “High Level Women Forum for Economic Growth and Sustainability”, MFWS 2024 aims to expand the network for women entrepreneurs so they can grow more rapidly and increase competitiveness in this modern competitive business ecosystem.

Kreasi Mode International CEO Ayu May Fakih said the summit will be a place where womenprenuers network, connect and support each other to develop their businesses.
MFWS 2024, organised by Kreasi Mode, will present a series of speakers who are experienced in various business fields such as Eva Law (leader of the Association of Family Offices in Asia), Nur Asia Uno (Indonesian Fashion Association chairman), Susan Emir (Rumah Sabine owner), Alia Khan (founder and leader of the Islamic Fashion and Design Council) and other prominent female business leaders.

“By creating this forum for the womenpreneur summit, they can connect with each other,” Ayu said in a statement.

MFWS 2024 project manager Norasiah Jamil said there are eight collaboration partners for the summit, including the Indonesian Fashion Association, Modest Fashion Australia, Modest Fashion

Manila, Islamic Fashion & Design Council from London, Association of Family Offices in Asia from Hong Kong, Scarf Media, hellobcr and the Indonesian Fashion Chamber.

“Collaboration is still being encouraged with various parties to make this event a success,” she said.

To introduce the event and greet the partners, the MFWS 2024 committee held several mini-events entitled “Intimate Gathering”.

The first gathering was held in South Jakarta, Indonesia, on Dec 5 and was attended by 23 fashion brands throughout Jabodetabek, while the second was held in KL, Malaysia, on Dec 13 and was attended by 25 local Malaysian brands and organisations.

A total of 25 participants consisting of various brands and organisations that contributed to the implementation of MFWS 2024 attended the KL gathering including Cotton Seri Shafa, SriCandy, Sacoor Pavilion, Qoda, Indonesian Fashion Association, Prominent Syntax, Alynz Dressy, Zayana Yazed Creations Academy & Atelier, Window Spa, Salome, Bujins L Batik, Mitt Hijrah Travel & Tours, Let Them Shine Group, Manjasuri Ent, Jeff Nickelson Advertising and Wardah Malaysia.

Furthermore, there was a virtual gathering to greet Australia participants on Dec 17.

“This intimate gathering is a mini-event for MFWS 2024 to bring together womenpreneurs to introduce our event.

“We also want to start building relationships with each other, between us organisers and participants,” Ayu said.
